Borrowed From the Boys: The Spring 2027 Menswear Trend to Take for a Test Drive This Fall

The runway has always been a great source of inspiration. Whether for fall/winter or spring/summer, ready-to-wear or haute couture, what’s going on up on the catwalk will soon be mirrored in real life. OK, perhaps mirrored is too strong a word since a majority of the styling techniques aren’t designed with the real world in mind. We’ll just say pay homage to instead. While the focus is predominantly on womenswear, the men’s collections can also serve as a catalyst for what’s next for men and women. The recent Spring 2027 Menswear shows made one thing clear: beaded belts are going to be flooding the market once winter wraps up. Of course, there’s nothing in the rules that says you have to wait until spring to try them out.

Michael Rider isn’t just showing his sleight of hand via Celine’s womenswear line. At the fashion house’s Spring 2027 Menswear presentation, he sent models down the runway with slightly slouchy chain-type belts boasting different colored stones. In one case those stones form a flower accent. There are also shark tooth-like charms to give the belts a little edge and make them appropriate for more than just warm-weather outfits.

There are also lots of cool options to help you carry a little summer into fall. Casa Clara’s bold stone belts set the summer on fire, but they provide a nice contrast for fall’s more subdued shades. We also managed to track down a few items that seamlessly blend into the new season. Both the Madewell and St. Agni x Vermeer selections rely on brown beads to do the heavy lifting. Isabel Marant’s Rosly belt with a self-tie closure includes ecru beads and silver hardware. Kallmeyer’s Sora Beaded Belt has a little fun with fringe and stark white beads. The neutral-tone stones of SAME’s contribution lean more autumn. While ASOS Design’s Macrame Beaded Waist and Hip Belt comes in a far-from-basic black.
